Greetings
First of all, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for your visit to our website. Thanks to you, we have reached the 123rd anniversary since our founding in 1902. We are deeply grateful for this, as it is entirely due to the support of all concerned parties. Since receiving the designation (license) from the Ministry of Finance's Monopoly Bureau as the industry's oldest leaf tobacco dryer manufacturer in 1928, we have expanded our business centered on the development, manufacture and sale of dryers, and have striven to hone our core competency in "Humidity Control Drying Technology," while expanding our field of activity from the agricultural, forestry and fishery market to the food industry, pharmaceutical and chemical markets. The various dryers that we provide have been highly praised by users and various industries for their energy-saving performance and ability to add high added value to the dried objects, and have received numerous awards and certifications from national and international organizations. Furthermore, we are working to utilize our drying technology and know-how to contribute to the development of local specialty products (6th industrialization), and in 2015 we were honored to have the Crown Prince (the current Emperor) visit us, and we have also been certified as "COMPANIES DRIVING REGIONAL GROWTH" by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and "Discover MURA no TAKARA AWARD" by Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. We have a wide range of know-how and a track record in dryers, drying processing, and 6th industrialization. With our corporate statement "Be moved by KIHARA's drying," we will continue to work hard to ensure that all stakeholders can feel the value of our company, so we hope that you will send us many inquiries and inquiries.

SDGs Goal No.Details of the initiative
Through collaboration with international organizations and
academic societies, we will strive to disseminate information that
will contribute to increasing incomes, such as sharing examples of
product development through drying processing.
KIHARA's Humidity Control Drying Technology DDS® is expected
to contribute to solving this problem. Through the preservation
technology of drying, we are working on developing technology and
providing know-how to contribute to reducing food waste.
We appoint a health manager, a safety manager, and a safe driving
manager. Under the guidance of industrial physicians and
supervisory authorities, we provide opportunities for health
checkups, dental checkups, mental health care, and vaccinations,
and conduct radio calisthenics to manage the health of our
employees and prevent workplace accidents. We also cooperate
with annual traffic safety campaigns and make alcohol checks
mandatory, in an effort to prevent traffic accidents.
We formulate education and training plans in ISO9001 human
resource development process, and strive to provide high-quality
education and develop highly specialized human resources by
promoting the acquisition of qualifications and participation in
various seminars. We cooperate with technical education by
sending lecturers to training sessions held by public research
institutes, academic societies, universities, etc. We also cooperate
with local educational institutions in providing high-quality education
by accepting company tours, educational training internships, and
joint research.
We do not discriminate on the basis of gender. We also conduct
anti-harassment training, etc., to deepen our internal understanding
of gender equality.
Through our drying technology, we contribute to reducing food
waste by conserving the water that is transformed into food. By
controlling the humidity during the drying process without waste, we
prevent energy loss and contribute to the efficient production of
dried foods that maintain the appropriate moisture content and
water activity.
We are working to shift the heat source of our products to
electricity, develop and popularize products with high energy-saving
performance, adopt fuel-efficient vehicles, use heating and cooling
equipment that has been recognized for its high energy-saving
performance, and switch to LED lighting.
In order to achieve work-life balance,we have adopted a two-day
weekend sуstem and issued childcare and nursing care leave
regulations. No one will be denied opportunities for work or skill
development due to their age or gender. We maintain a high rate of
paid leave acquisition by creating a work environment that makes it
easy to take paid leave.
KIHARA's humidity control drying technology DDS® is expected to
contribute to solving this problem. We strive to help build the
foundations for industry and technological innovation by providing
know-how on drying technology and introducing examples of 6th
industrialization in Japan. We also strive to provide technical
education to human resources in developing and emerging
countries, and to provide information through government agency
exchanges, academic conferences, and other forums.
We strive to promote capacity building and social, economic and
political inclusion for all people, regardless of age, gender,
disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, or economic status or other
circumstances. We will carry out proper trade in accordance with
the WTO agreement.
We strive to reduce CO2 emissions in offices and factories through
using energy-saving certified heating and cooling equipment. We
are working on reinforcing our factories including power receiving
equipment.
Through the spread of drying technology, we strive to reduce food
losses in the production and supply chain, such as post-harvest
losses. We ensure that waste is properly disposed of in accordance
with laws and regulations, and promote the 3Rs (reduce, reuse,
recycle). We have completed proper disposal of PCBs.
We strive to turn our products into electric heat sources and
improve energy-saving performance, contributing to
decarbonization and low carbonization. Through the widespread
use of energy-saving dryers, we will contribute to longer food
storage periods and lower carbon dioxide emissions during storage
and transportation. We strive to improve disaster resilience through
Business Continuity Enhancement Plan and formulating BCPs.
We contribute to reducing the environmental impact and improving
the profitability of the industry by developing highly energy-efficient
drying machines and drying programs for marine products. In
cooperation with related organizations, we support product
development that utilizes discarded parts of marine products. We
cooperate in coastal cleanup activities.
We contribute to reducing the environmental impact and improving
the profitability of the industry by developing highly energy-efficient
drying machines and drying programs for agricultural and forestry
products. In cooperation with related organizations, we support
product development that utilizes discarded parts of agricultural
and forestry products. We cooperate in local cleanup activities.
We strive to improve the working environment by implementing
harassment education by experts and by implementing
employment rules and various internal regulations.
We will fulfill our social role as a company by adhering to
"Partnership Building Declaration," striving for coexistence and
mutual prosperity with stakeholders, and promoting efforts toward
SDGs.
