Humidity Control Drying Technology DDS

The Dual Drying System® (DDS®) is a drying technology that supports KIHARA's core competency of "Humidity Control Drying Technology." DDS is equipped with sensors inside the dryer that measure the dry bulb temperature (= temperature of the air inside the dryer) and the wet bulb temperature (≒ initial temperature of the item being dried), and controls the relative humidity inside the dryer. By creating an optimal temperature and humidity environment for drying, this technology produces high-quality dried products while also bringing about dramatic energy savings.
[Patent 7037809 "Circulation dryer, drying method and drying control program"]
[Patent 7186444 "Circulation dryer, drying method and drying control program"]

DDS is registered in the "STePP" operated by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO ITPO Tokyo) as a technology that is expected to contribute to the SDGs.

Drying simulation and drying measurement
KIHARA contributes to improving our customers' productivity by using patented technology to support the creation of optimal drying programs and simulations to predict the state of dried materials. We support our customers in both software and hardware to produce high-quality, uniformly-quality dried materials in a reasonable amount of time.

GX and Assembly Test Site
KIHARA is committed to contributing to cost reduction for customers through the development of high-performance energy-saving equipment and research into optimal drying programs that take into account the characteristics of the dried materials, while also working on GX (decarbonization and low carbonization) for the conservation of the global environment. In order to accelerate our GX initiatives, KIHARA has established the "Assembly Test Site" (Area 270m2: Width 30m x Depth 9m x Height 5m) equipped with ample power supply capacity and high-performance test drying equipment. In the Assembly Test Site, there are a test drying room and an analysis room equipped with a small commercial refrigerator with freezer, stoves, sinks, moisture content meters, water activity meters, etc. to effectively support customers' test drying.
